Black meme rapper ‘Viper’ arrested for holding woman in captivity for 4+ years

Houston, Texas – A notorious Black rapper—elevated into public consciousness through memes and photos of bizarre comical album covers—has been arrested for holding a woman in captivity for 4+ years.

52-year-old Lee Arthur Carter aka “Viper” of Houston, Texas

On Thursday, reports indicate that 52-year-old Lee Arthur Carter aka ‘Viper” was arrested for the aggravated kidnapping of a woman against her will, storing her at a home in south Houston. Carter—the Black rapper behind the albums “Kill Yourself My Man,” and “You’ll Cowards Don’t Even Smoke Crack,”—is currently being held at the Harris County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Police claim the incident began back in April of 2023 when officers responded to a kidnapping in progress at the same home. There they met the unidentified victim who told them that she had met Carter “4 or 5” years prior when she was panhandling.

“The court documents said Carter asked the woman if she needed help. The woman said she needed help and Carter said he would help her and told her to get in his car. The woman got in his car and he drove to his home on Perry Street where the woman said he had been holding her against her will for the past 4-5 years.”

During her time spent as an alleged prisoner, court documents revealed that the infamous Black rapper threatened her with physical violence, forced her to take drugs including crack cocaine, and made her perform sexual favors under duress. Documents continued to allege that Carter had kept her locked in a garage, and would occasionally let her out to take a shower. At the time of her rescue, the victim had not taken a shower in over two months, weighed only 70 pounds due to extreme malnourishment, and had a “pungent stench.”

“They made the arrest for the outstanding aggravated kidnapping warrant,” said Commander Michael Collins of the Houston PD during. “The concern is that we possibly had an individual located inside this residence, um, perhaps locked, perhaps locked inside one of the interior rooms”

In a shocking allegation, the victim claimed she was previously able to escape Carter’s custody by climbing through a garage window. When she headed to the local hospital, however, she alleged Carter came and picked her up, forcing her to return where he proceeded to board the windows to prevent future escape.

A neighbor of Carter told Click2Houston that illegal activity may have been the norm inside the home, including the filming of sex abuse material and the human trafficking of the alleged victim.

“All of it gave me a red flag,” said neighbor Jedediah Beights. “Everything from day one was a red flag. He didn’t do anything that wasn’t a red flag.”

“He had just kind of explained that, um, he had some girls that were in there, and he never used the word locked up, but, um, he was kind of protecting them from themselves,” Beights alleged. “From the sounds of things, she would call him his boyfriend. Her boyfriend. So, I mean, it was kind of a mutual weirdness, I guess.”

Carter was arrested on Tuesday after an anonymous tip was sent to Houston PD alleging that the victim they had spoken to in April may still be at the home. After a forced entry, police could not find the woman, only a dog and a television.

“Everything from day one was a red flag. He didn’t do anything that wasn’t a red flag.”

“Due to the very serious nature of the warrant and aggravated kidnapping, we had exigent circumstances to make entry,” said Commander Collins of the arrest. “We would not have entered a residence without a warrant unless we had serious concerns about somebody’s safety. And again, due to that, the nature and the severity of the allegations in that incident report and the complainant’s statement.”

Carter is now facing a charge of aggravated kidnapping and has been ordered to have no contact with the victim. A GPS monitor will be court-mandated for Carter if he can make the $10,000 bail.

Carter, the prolific rapper of hundreds of self-made albums who is credited with being the pioneer of “Cloud” rap, has seven children from the ages 1 to 31 years old. Over the years he has amassed a cult following for his eccentric rap style, lyrics, and bizarre aesthetics.

A self-proclaimed “devout Christian,” Carter has previously stated that he believes he is the second coming of Christ, and has referred to himself as a “Black Jesus.” He is also a proponent and user of Women’s shapewear, and claims that the pain felt while wearing such items strengthens his “resolve to be number #1.”

Carter’s alleged rape, abuse, and kidnapping of an area woman appears to track alongside other horrific acts of violence currently taking the state of Texas by storm. Despite a decline in Houston’s overall murder rate in 2023, the numbers are still far above pre-2020 levels, including property crimes. In 2021, 500 people were murdered in the city of Houston, a figure double that of murders in 2019.

To this day, unchecked crime remains the number one issue for voters ahead of any mayoral or city elections, according to reports.

Houston, which has been credited as the fourth most populous city in the United States, is a racially fractured city. According to the latest US Census Report, Houston’s White population currently stands at a meager 23.7%, down from 62.4% in 1970. Currently, Whites are outflanked by a surging Black (22.1%) and Hispanic (44%) population that shows no sign of slowing down.

According to data mined by the pro-White policy institute, White Papers, Hispanic and Black Americans are responsible for 71.4% of all rapes and 58% of all other forms of sexual violence in the state of Texas. They also account for 76.5% of all murders and 72% of all aggravated assaults.

Black Americans have increasingly become the primary suspects in abhorrent cases of sexual abuse, many of which have resulted in their victims dead, maimed, or emotionally ravaged. In May, a 15-year-old White girl was found dead inside a communal dumpster. For the crime, police arrested a Black sex offender who may have groomed the young girl for years before the murder. In December, a prominent trans activist in Philadelphia was arrested for the violent rape of multiple young boys.
