Las Vegas, Nevada – A high school football coach is now facing the prospect of life in prison, police say, after he was discovered manufacturing child sex abuse material (CSAM) with a young student. Prosecutors have referred to the material as wildly “inappropriate and illegal” and include instances of him urinating on bound and gagged victims.
According to reports, officers with the Las Vegas Police arrested 45-year-old Antwone Washington on Tuesday over charges of kidnapping a minor, four counts of “using or permitting a minor over 14 to produce pornography,” three counts of “statutory sexual seduction by a person over 21,” and one charge of “contacting a minor for sex as a person of authority.”
Washington—who is Black—was a head football coach at Valley High School and also served as a “campus security officer,” per a now-deleted profile on the school’s website.
An arrest report linked to the case outlined a vile list of alleged offenses, which were issued after police discovered texts and four videos on a minor’s phone. The videos were found in a separate sex abuse investigation, said to have included “graphic content” and scenes of “extreme sexual misconduct” with the female student in various “compromising positions.”
“It’s not a matter of if Mr. Washington is convicted in this matter. It’s not a matter of if he goes to prison. It’s only a matter of what he’s convicted of and for how long he goes to prison for.”

Investigators asserted that Washington had reportedly met his underage victim while attempting to recruit her high school boyfriend for the football team. An arrest report claims he would groom the minor during school hours, eventually abusing her in his personal vehicle on school grounds and inviting her to his adult girlfriend’s home for continued abuse.
Reports state that Washington had been filmed by a third party raping the young girl, who is under 16 years old, while she was bound, gagged, and visibly unconscious. During police interrogation, Washington would admit to the relationship, claiming he had a polyamorous relationship with up to three different women. He also confessed to a bizarre fetish where he envisioned himself as their “daddy.”
In a call from jail, he reportedly told his wife that he “could not do prison time” and made the implication that he was going to “kill himself.”
Interviews with school staff unearthed allegations that he may have been a regular sex pest at the school, often witnessed giving students inappropriately long “hugs.” The suspect claimed he only ever wanted to be a “mentor” to the students in his care.
The accused Black rapist could be seen shackled on live stream during a court hearing on Wednesday, where Senior Judge David Gibson set bail at an arguably low $100,000. Prosecutors advocated for a higher bail amount, highlighting the staggering breach of public trust presented in the case. Public defenders representing Washington said their client’s lack of criminal history should be considered.
Judge Gibson remained unconvinced, however, stating that there was clear evidence of Washington being a direct threat to the community.
“It’s not a matter of if Mr. Washington is convicted in this matter. It’s not a matter of if he goes to prison,” said Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney William Rowles. “It’s only a matter of what he’s convicted of and for how long he goes to prison for.”
If convicted, Washington now faces life in prison for the crimes, mainly stemming from the charges related to filming child sex acts. His next court hearing is scheduled for December 16th.
Black Americans in positions of authority over the young and vulnerable continue to be implicated in sickening acts of corruption and impropriety.
In October, a “decorated” Black police officer for the city of Indianapolis was federally charged for his alleged possession and distribution of CSAM videos over the social media app Kik. Reports state that 42-year-old Javed Richards—a local media darling and a 12-year veteran of the force—sent four pedophilic videos to individuals over the internet and would ultimately be let out of jail on $4,000 bond pending trial.
In April, a different Indianapolis cop, this time 27-year-old Myron Howard, was arrested and charged with rape for repeatedly raping and taking advantage of victims of crimes he personally responded to. Reports stated that Howard once used his badge and authority to rape a woman a mere fifteen minutes after a domestic violence incident.
Also in April, an unhinged Black substitute teacher at a different Las Vegas High School was filmed brutalizing a minor over the alleged use of the “n-word.” An investigation revealed that the suspect—26-year-old Re’Kwon Smith—was once a former 5-star basketball recruit highly regarded as one of the best youth players in the nation.
