Tulsa, Oklahoma – Severe storms swept through Oklahoma this weekend, resulting in widespread damage and power outages that have left three confirmed dead and hundreds of thousands of people without basic utilities. Despite a budding humanitarian crisis, the city of Tulsa, however, plans to proceed with a controversial all-ages pride parade while residents are still going without.

Late Saturday, June 18th a massive wind storm ripped through the state of Oklahoma. The storm brought with it a combination of straight-line winds exceeding 100mph, large “gorilla hailstones,” and up to eight reported tornadoes, which left a trail of devastation in their wake. Trees were uprooted, power poles were toppled, roofs were ripped off, and structure fires were ignited, amplifying the chaos and destruction caused by the severe weather conditions.

The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management initially reported that more than 350,000 households and businesses experienced disruptions to their power supply. Despite what some have called “the largest power outage in Oklahoma in last 16 years”, it was not until June 20th—two whole days later—that the Governor’s Office declared a state of emergency. The emergency was declared at a time when hundreds of thousands of Oklahomans still remain without power and additionally, in the middle of a scorching heat wave. Residents have also reported experiencing long gas lines, as many struggle to keep up with the fuel demands for their home generators.

“There are definitely dozens of various injuries, from minor all the way up to fatalities,” confirmed McClain Cunty Deputy Sheriff, Scott Gibbons.

But if so many Oklahomans now dance on the edge of economic precarity due to this catastrophic storm, why did it take so long to call an emergency? As it turns out, the delayed response is due to Oklahoma Governor, Kevin Stitt, being out of the state while he currently attends the Paris Air Show, an annual pilgrimage for the Republican politician in a bid to woo international investors to Oklahoma.

As a result, the powers of the Governor’s office fell upon Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell, who also happened to be out of state attending a previously scheduled work conference. It wasn’t until the night of June 20^th that Governor Stitt called on Oklahoma Senate Pro Tem, Greg Treat, to finally sign an executive order that would declare a state of emergency for 10 counties, including the city of Tulsa.

Relief teams have managed to restore power to 100,000 customers in the Tulsa area so far. Efforts to get another 99,000 back online may face further delays, however, as smaller storms ripping through the region Wednesday evening, could break tree limbs weakened from the original storm, and make matters worse for those already effected.

While the system appeared to fumble the state of emergency declaration and prolong suffering for those trapped in a brutal humanitarian crisis, plans for Tulsa’s controversial all-ages pride parade continue without delay. Scheduled for Saturday, June 24th east of the “Dennis R. Neill Equality Center,” Tulsa Pride promises attendees “a day of Pride-centric entertainment with music and family-friendly drag performances with beer and cocktail bar…”

Alongside deviant dancing and homosexual parade floats, Tulsa Pride also features a 5k “Rainbow Run,” with a $2.500 “pride pot” for the winner, a “Pride Market” for LGBTQ vendors, and a “Kid Zone” offering “all sorts of entertainment for the kids!”

Tulsa Pride 2023 Features

The decision to continue to hold the controversial parade honoring homosexual values comes on the heels of an announcement made by the Public Service Company of Oklahoma, announcing that power restoration would continue throughout the weekend, with “most customers” forecasted to regain electricity late in the evening. For some, the outrage was palpable.

At a town meeting on June 21st, one man—a concerned citizen and local supporter of the National Justice Party (NJP)—let his voice be heard. The entire speech was captured on public access livestream.

“As of 5 minutes ago, There was still a reported 98,000 households without power in Oklahoma, with the majority of those affected here in Tulsa,” said the concerned citizen as he stepped up to the microphone during a public feedback.”While the citizens of this city as well as the rest of the state are suffering from dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke, as well as a hapless and almost cynical response to the humanitarian crisis in this state; The City is willing to put almost infinite resources into events such as this one. An all-ages gay pride parade, instead of focusing on the needs of the citizens.”

The speaker continued, using every moment of his allotted time to attack what he called “a slap in the face” in which the city had “nothing to be proud of.”

“The decision to allow the parade is a slap in the face to every normal person and it should be clear that the city council and the mayor objectively do not have the best interests of our people in mind,” he continued. “In fact, if the city is unable to provide basic services to the children and families of this city, especially during a crisis like this one, you have nothing to be proud of, period, end of story.”

During the live stream, the man doubled down on highlighting the humanitarian crisis that currently affects thousands, pointing out that much of the blame should be placed on crumbling infrastructure and funds misappropriated to support a “sodomite agenda.” At one point, he asserted that the Tulsa leadership should even be held “criminally liable.”

“Our city has outdated and failed power infrastructure, outdated and failing water infrastructure as well as roads and bridges continuing to fall apart,” said the speaker. “Yet the city finds money and time to assist homosexuals and transsexual predators to parade their degeneracy in front of our children. I do not support the sodomite agenda in the least bit and neither does the majority population of this city, but allowing it in a time of crisis like this makes the leadership criminally liable for every single man, woman, and child that falls ill because of the lack of immediate assistance.

“Yet the city finds money and time to assist homosexuals and transsexual predators to parade their degeneracy in front of our children…Allowing it in a time of crisis like this makes the leadership criminally liable for every single man, woman, and child that falls ill because of the lack of immediate assistance.”

While the modern idea of “LGBTQ rights” and “gender expression” are held in high regard by virtually all of America’s media, law, and corporate enterprises, the speaker framed these ideologies a different way, calling it a “deviant and bourgeois” issue that working-class people have no interest or time in supporting. In the end, he even listed demands on behalf of the people of Tulsa: End Tulsa Pride, and upgrade infrastructure throughout the city.

“When it comes to deviancy and bourgeois sexual identity issues, the trains run on time in Tulsa, OK. When it comes to basic public amenities, working-class people go without and suffer because of it,” he continued. “…I am with the National Justice Party and I am here to speak for the voiceless in this city that are either too afraid to speak out due to the obvious threat of retaliation or do not have the capacity to speak for themselves in this way.”

“In that capacity, I demand the immediate termination of the parade permit and all households in this city be granted at minimum a month of electric, water, and gas bills paid for by the city of Tulsa,” he said. “Also a clear plan and expedited execution of a parallel infrastructure upgrade throughout the city and the surrounding towns to make sure this doesn’t happen again. These are the people’s demands.”

The National Justice Party, a pro-White advocacy organization born from the fires of the 2020 summer of racial reckoning, has previously railed against homosexual ideology, especially in regard to its dissemination to minors, and in defense of marginalized communities. In Cookeville, Tennessee, the NJP famously marched in protest to an all-ages drag show held at “Hix Brewery.” The sudden show of opposition to the event forced the venue to change its age requirement at the last minute, and several weeks later, was forced to close its doors for good.

In Ohio, NJP activists engaged in several successful rounds of activism in support of the people affected by the East Palestine train derailment. In addition to dual protests in front of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s mansion demanding he act to provide aid for the people, NJP central committee member, Joseph Jordan, directly confronted a sitting U.S. Congressman during a community town hall meeting.
