Baraboo, Wisconsin – A White father has been attacked, doxed, and smeared as a “racist” by mainstream media pundits—many of them conservative—after he was filmed pushing aside a Black superintendent to “prevent his daughter from shaking his hand” at her high school graduation ceremony.
However, new information has come to light that suggests the father’s actions were not done out of petty “racism” but instead to protest the bullying of his daughter and the administration’s apparent failure to address it.
The incident first received media attention on Monday, when the man—maliciously identified as 49-year-old Matt Eddy by the conservative Daily Mail—walked onto the stage of his daughter’s high school graduation ceremony. He then approached Black district Superintendent Rainey Briggs before his daughter could shake his hand.

Wearing a white shirt and baseball cap, Eddy reportedly grabbed Briggs by his right arm and “pushed him away.” In a now-viral video first captured by TV43 Baraboo, he can be heard saying, “That’s my daughter.” Police are then said to have escorted Eddy out of the building and charged him with disorderly conduct for the protest.
Very quickly, national-level media ran with the story, attacking and smearing Riggs as a mere “racist” for not wanting his daughter to sully herself by touching the hand of a Black man. On social media, this narrative was uncritically regurgitated to millions, with Conservative talking heads and right-wing influencers on X/Twitter as some of its key instigators.
“What an awful person,” said conservative financial investor Collin Rugg to an audience of 10.7 million users.
Wisconsin State Rep. Francesca Hong (D-Madison) even referred to Eddy as a “racist piece of shit” for his alleged “gross & racist conduct” on Wednesday, sharing a clip of the incident to social media.
Feeling motivated, many joined in on the dogpile, issuing calls to violence, doxing the man’s workplace, hurling false accusations, and even demanding his identity in order to ruin his life. Some even attacked his daughter.
“We need the ‘father’s’ mugshot so we can give him the moment and attention he deserves. How incredibly disgusting,” said one user on X. “I’m just hoping the part we don’t see is “dear old dad” getting the brakes beat off him backstage left,” read another.
“I seriously want to throw up now. Throw that madman under the jail,” demanded another user. “She gone have a million mixed babies 🤪,” said another Black user.
“Count down till we find he’s a pedophile and probably molested the daughter,” read one particularly disgusting comment from Black X/Twitter user Soldier of Soul.

The Conservative-leaning New York Post also jumped in, stoking anti-White racial hatred by dredging up a previous incident in 2018 when some Baraboo High School students were alleged to have given a Roman salute during a photo shoot for prom.
However, new information—first reported by Information Liberation—has revealed that Eddy’s interaction with Briggs was not motivated by racism but in protest of Briggs himself, a controversial figure in the school district who has been the subject of numerous parental complaints.
According to reports, Briggs is just one of several school administrators and teachers under fire from residents for alleged acts of corruption, wrongdoings, and other grievances. Groups of concerned citizens are now attempting to recall School Board President Kevin Vodak, who is accused of introducing diversity, equity, and inclusion programs to the district and issuing Briggs monetary raises above other, more valuable employees.
White father Matt Eddy appears to be one of the activists seeking to unseat the unpopular Vodak. For his efforts, he is now being subjected to what some have called a “hate hoax” akin to the 2019 Covington Catholic affair at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The “racially charged” incident saw White student Nicholas Sandmann falsely labeled a racist by some Conservatives—namely Jewish Daily Wire head Ben Shapiro—for merely smiling in the face of a Native American racial activist. The young teen eventually sued major media companies for libel, settling out of court for an undisclosed amount.
As America’s domestic situation continues to unravel, and anti-White hatred is allowed to permeate throughout its once-trusted institutions, instances of White men and women subjected to racial witch hunts continue to happen with frequency.
In April of 2023, the Black community demanded and petitioned hate crimes charges for White 84-year-old, Andrew D. Lester, an elderly homeowner who fired a gun after he believed his home was being invaded by a Black criminal in the middle of the night. Instead, the media attacked Lester, casting him as a racist who used unequal force against a confused Black kid who “walked up to the wrong house.”
Manufactured outrage over the incident culminated in throngs of Black protesters camping outside Lester’s home for days, bombarding him with anti-White screeds via microphone and harassment by an extremist mob.
In January, a White manager of an O’Reilly Auto Parts in Kansas City, Kansas, was dragged through the mud after apprehending a fleeing Black shoplifter who later died. The media then gave the victim’s family a soapbox to attack the man—identified as 39-year-old Carl Ryan Kemppainen—and help them set an anti-White racial narrative that labeled Kemppainen as a racist who used “wrestling moves” to kill his Black target.
Also in January, a White man who allegedly shot a “crazed” transsexual activist in self-defense over the course of a heated DoorDash delivery in Maryland, was subjected to death threats, doxing, and was slandered as a murderer by members of the “Trans” community. Despite not being convicted of a crime, his detractors used his race and heterosexual identity as evidence of criminal wrongdoing.
