Tommy Robinson – an anti-Islam activist and avowed Zionist – is reportedly vacationing at a luxury resort in Cyprus while mass protests have broken out across the United Kingdom.
- Robinson was tracked to a 5-star all-inclusive hotel in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, during the peak holiday season.
- He had fled the country last Sunday and was located in Cyprus at least until August 3.
- The National used open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques to geolocate Robinson through a myriad of social media posts, including selfies and a live stream with Alex Jones.
Zooming in: While British protestors are facing off against English police, antifascists, and swarms of reported “Muslim attack squads” armed with swords, Robinson is enjoying lavish conditions.
- The unnamed 5-star hotel he is resting in includes a luxurious spa, multiple outdoor and indoor pools, tennis courts, and a water park.
- The hotel reportedly charges more than £400 a night for a double room, which includes all meals and drinks.
The big picture: Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was forced to flee the UK amid a High Court case for alleged contempt of court. A judge issued an arrest warrant for Robinson but ordered it not be carried out until early October.
- His absence comes as the indigenous British are subjected to police brutality, media smears, and state-sponsored censorship following widespread protests launched in the wake of the stabbing deaths of three young girls in Southport.
- While the alleged murderer of the young victims turned out to be an English-born Black Christian teenager, Robinson was believed to be instrumental in directing blame onto the country’s Muslim communities and seeding early disinformation among the right wing.
- The protests and demonstrations have underscored simmering racial tensions that have persisted throughout the UK prior to the Southport murders, however, which have left certain areas of the country looking like a “warzone.”
In the headlines: Robinson is a notable Zionist and is often found rubbing elbows with influential Jewish figures. His brand of all-inclusive right-wing politics typically hyper focuses on Islam as a cause of major concern.
- In November, Robinson organized a confrontational Armistice Day demonstration in front of London’s iconic Cenotaph monument. The event was organized on the same day as a massive, city-spanning pro-Palestine march in the same area.
- Fearing violence and arrests, the announcement was met with universal condemnation by British nationalists, including Mark Collett of Patriotic Alternative, who likened Robinson’s gathering to a “Zionist trap.”
