Fort Worth, Texas – A Hispanic man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road rage shooting that claimed the life of a White husband and father.
On March 13, 2025, Officers responded to a shooting around 8:39 a.m near the 3600 block of NE 28th Street. Upon arrival, police discovered 45-year-old Jason Michael White suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. White was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators, relying on witness statements, determined that White and a female passenger were involved in a confrontation with another driver.
As White attempted to turn into a local business, the suspect reportedly pulled up beside his vehicle and opened fire multiple times, hitting both White and the vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene, according to the witness.
Approximately five hours after the shooting, authorities arrested 31-year-old Noel Ibarra in connection with the incident. Ibarra, identified as Hispanic, is facing charges of felony murder and theft of property valued between $100 and $750.
It is still unclear whether the theft charge is directly connected to the death of Jason Michael White. Ibarra remains in custody at the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth.
Detectives from the Fort Worth Police Department’s homicide unit are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal encounter.

White, remembered as a dedicated mechanic, was the owner of Grunt’s Garage on NE 28th Street, near where the tragedy unfolded. He was known for mentoring younger employees, including his own son, Christopher.
Joe Collida, a business associate and dealership client, has launched a fundraiser via GoFundMe to support White’s wife, Cheyenne, and their three children: Jason Jr., Christopher, and Jayme, during this difficult time.
White residents in Fort Worth make up a shrinking plurality. According to the US Census, non-Hispanic White residents have gone from 56.5% of the population in 1990 to 36.6% of the population in 2020.
During the same time period, Fort Worth’s Hispanic population ballooned from 19.5% to 34.8%, while Black residents remained around 20% of the city’s population.
The increase in Fort Worth’s Hispanic population—due to unchecked mass immigration—has contributed to an increase in crime.
Available figures show that from 2019 to 2023, at least 41% of Fort Worth’s 483 homicide victims were labeled as White—roughly mirroring their share of the population, despite being severely underrepresented among homicide suspects.
In September of 2022, a White student was stabbed in the back with a steak knife by a fellow Black student at a Fort Worth high school.
According to the Justice Report’s anonymous source, Logan Jensen was attacked by the Black student while walking down the hallway. Multiple students began recording the apparent murder attempt and posted their footage on social media.
In September of 2023, a star White athlete from a prestigious Christian school was shot dead outside of a Fort Worth nightclub. In response, Police arrested a Hispanic criminal on probation who confessed to the crime and allegedly planned on killing more.
Despite the interracial nature of the crime, police were unable to find a motive and did not describe any prior interactions between victim Wes Smith and suspect Matthew Purdy. However, a filed police affidavit asserted that Purdy admitted to shooting Smith a third time in the head “because he wanted to make sure he was dead.”
